A Dancing Island

I dream at night of Jamaica, a lagoon-coral reef,
Distant sounds of the marimba and a reggae melody.
In my dream I'm biting a papaya, chewing coconuts and bananas.
At midday I swim in the ocean, what a pity, that I am sleeping.

To get to it.
 
The alarm-clock calls me to work and again there are problems, issues,
Misgivings, commotions, concerns, I turn like a spinning top.
I know it's banal, but just closing my eyes
I dream of bananas and palm trees and waves of turquoise.
